Enabling People, Enriching Places
We are grounded, logically illogical, simple & humble, crazy team of postgraduate, graduate : so called educated people along with some rural folks : semi-educated and uneducated located in the middle of the super fresh green rural area of West Bengal, are trying to uplift the rural economy by training (developing skills) rural young & old, engaging them in producing innovative village made products and at the same time – generating employment “locally”.
We are here to encourage & nurture new enterprises formed by rural locals and build financial & rural product ecosystem supporting inside financially as well as outside with innovative rural products / produce by shipping those out of rural areas to cities and other countries (export).
We as a team showing the way to utilize natural resources and human capital that are already present in villages, as well as educating young & old to make products with professional touch which is fulfilling the market demands of domestic and international marketplaces.
CraftLipi Foundation is strongly supported by a group of designers, painters, visual artists, and engineers of DesignLipi Projects Private Limited (https://www.designlipi.com) who are enthusiastic about bringing the change in village livelihood and bringing old village crafts in modern form (https://www.craftlipi.com), introducing amazing fragrance based products made by village women force & presenting unadulterated village food produce prepared by farmers and their family members into the light so that they can thrive in modern times with its own glory & benefit of authentic “Make in India” produce coming out from rural.

Implementing a well-structured curriculum in village schools to foster creativity and encourage selfsufficiency through local resources and abilities, alongside traditional education.
