Transferring Knowledge & Skills from One woman to another – it’s a continuous process to retain the tradition along with enhancement in craft sector for next generations.
It is a continuous process, but we have taken that as our main responsibility to upgrade the current generation with knowledge and skills with modern technology and market demand. We have already trained one set of old & young, male and female village artisans to understand the demand of the market in terms of quality and designs along with how to use modern tools to make handmade products. Facility is given, infrastructure is self-sufficient and equipped with all tools at the workshop of CraftLipi (https://www.craftlipi.com) along with experienced designers & engineers of DesignLipi Projects Private Limited (https://www.designlipi.com) who are constantly working with artisan team to evolve them into next level. Almost all Indian villages are having some unique strength in handmade products or home-grown foods. Women force is the biggest strength or asset that anyone can recognize and agree without doubt. We are trying to bring that pool of village women who are having good amount of time in the afternoon while kids are in school and male force is already out for work. We have created a flexible environment for time management & engagement to involve them in creative work which they can enjoy as well as earn some money. Hoping to have this as continuous and evolving process of CraftLipi Foundation (https://www.craftlipi.org) to move the level of working village women in next level.
